|The Tackle Your Feelings team is excited to announce that in 2021 the program will be delivered to coaches in South Australia and Tasmania for the first time, joining other footy states Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland, NSW and the Northern Territory. |
To help us achieve this nationalisation, Tackle Your Feelings has formed partnerships with various football state bodies, local community leagues/associations and Regional Sports Assemblies around Australia.
These organisations will play a vital role in giving coaches and club members within their network the opportunity to complete the Tackle Your Feelings program and build their understanding of mental health.
There will be a Tackle Your Feelings Coordinator assigned by each organisation who will be responsible for scheduling, promoting and facilitating sessions in their local region.
Keep an eye on your email, social media channels and club/league website for more information about sessions that are available to coaches from your local footy club late February.
If you don’t identify with any of the organisations in the available via the button above, you can still register into our E-Learning platform via CoachAFL (if you are a coach) or directly via TYFO where you can explore the Coaches Box, which is full of mental health resources for your club.
If your club is interested in the TYF program, please have your president contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to organise a face-to-face or online session via Zoom.
TYF will continue to be a part of the AFL’s official coaching education pathway, CoachAFL, through a 15-minute introductory module, which was completed by more than 25,000 coaches in 2020.
We have also added some big name ambassadors to the program for 2021 and we look forward to introducing them to you in the coming weeks.
